Volunteer with I4PL!
Want to get involved with I4PL? Check out our volunteer opportunities!
Participating in a Chapter or committee can offer you another opportunity to develop relationships and network with your colleagues while contributing to your profession and The Institute! Also, if you are a certified member, you can volunteer and earn certification maintenance credits. Please look below for different volunteering opportunities with The Institute.
A Chapter is formed by passionate and dedicated volunteers who are members of the Institute for Performance and Learning in a specific region of Canada. I4PL members support local members in the area through networking opportunities and communications. With currently over 16 Chapters operating across Canada, it enables all members in each region to have an immediate point to contact, gain support and information for local events. Being involved in a Chapter is a great way to network and share on a local level!
Have any questions or interested in joining a Chapter? Please contact our Chapter Coordinator, Amanda Young.
The purpose of the Certification Committee is to maintain and enhance the professional designation program for The Institute for Performance and Learning (I4PL) by overseeing the development and maintenance of the certification process and ensuring that the highest standards and best practices are consistently set and applied.
Have any questions or interested in joining the Certification Committee? Please contact our Certification Coordinator, Aisling Bermingham.
RECOGNIZED SCHOOLS COMMITTEE
To revitalize the existing recognized schools program and enhance it to a full Institutional Partnership Program. The goal is to enable The Institute for Performance and Learning to engage in mutually beneficial partnerships that will enhance I4PL’s portfolio in several industries and create a sustainable revenue stream for the association.

The purpose of the Programming Committee is to collaboratively review all proposal applications for the Annual Conference. The committee is responsible for reading the details of the proposal, determining its relevance to the Conference theme, identifying follow up questions and reaching out to the applicant for further details. The committee is then responsible for selecting the final sessions for the program and working to create an agenda that evenly mixes tracks, topics, and session styles.
