GETTING CERTIFIED 

STEP 1: KNOWLEDGE EXAM (Standard Path)

The CTDP exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions across the broad set of Competencies for Performance and Learning Professionals®. The CTP exam consists of 30 multiple choice questions focused on Facilitating Learning and Partnering with Clients. The exams are online, self-proctored, and require stable internet connection. Candidates must pass their exam with a mark of 70% or greater prior to registering for skill demonstration.

STEP 2: SKILL DEMO (Standard Path)

After you have passed your certification exam, you will then complete your work product skill demonstration. CTDP candidates demonstrate their proficiency in one competency, either Assessing Performance Needs, Designing Learning Experiences or Facilitating Learning. CTP candidates demonstrate their proficiency in Facilitating Learning. All submissions are online based.

Grading Rubric

The assessors will use the following rubrics to grade skill demos:

Candidates are also required to submit 2 professional references (download the template here). You can use the same references you attached in your application.

PORTFOLIO (Portfolio Path)

CTDP Portfolio Candidates demonstrate their proficiency in at least four competencies. Download and review the entire worksheet including the categories outlined and noting the documentation requirements. All submissions are online based.

Senior Portfolio candidates are welcome to pursue the standard path, if more fitting.
