What a week it’s been! The Institute for Performance and Learning launched on Monday, September 21 to much positive response from the membership community and beyond – thank you! Chapter events are taking place across the country to showcase our new brand and all that it entails. We’ve received a few questions around how the website and our programs will be affected by the rebranding which we’d like to share with you. As always, if you have any questions please reach out – we’re here for you!

Is my membership still valid?

Yes, your membership is absolutely still valid and has already transferred over to The Institute for Performance and Learning. There have been no changes to your renewal date and the fees remain unchanged.

How will the rebranding affect my certification?

You’ve earned your certification and that will not change. The Institute continues to offer the Certified Training Practitioner (CTP) and Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) designations.

Is there a new member logo available?

Yes, the new member logo is available for download from The Institute’s website. Share your affiliation with the organization’s mission and vision by using the member logo in your email signature, LinkedIn, website, business cards, letterhead and whatever else you wish!

We are working hard behind the scenes to offer a fully bilingual website. The Institute is committed to offering this before the end of 2015.


You used to have Twitter chats. Are those still on? 

Yes! We love our Twitter chats and though we mix up the format from time to time (this month’s will be a Blab chat for example), they always take place the last Tuesday of each month at 1:00 PM Eastern / 10:00 AM Pacific. #talkabtlrng is the hashtag and our new handle is @InstitutePL.
