Speakers

Parool Mehta

In her presentation, Parool will discuss a D&I maturity model, growth mindset, and what to include in an action plan as it relates to organizational diversity and inclusion.

Parool (pronounced Pa-rule) Mehta is an experienced adult educator, coach and leader. Driven by empathy, she takes pride in providing the best solutions to workplace challenges. As a Senior Manager, Diversity, Inclusion and Learning, her goals include advancing equity, inclusive practices and workplace culture. In addition to her primary job functions, Parool is known for her extraordinary commitment to learning and development. Her passion for advancing diverse perspectives can be traced back to her university days where she studied Religious Studies learning about different faith based views. As a life-long learner, she continues to expand and evolve her understanding of equity, inclusion and its overlap with learning.

Jamie Good

As an out gay man and empathy skills facilitator, Jamie will enlighten a helpful approach for L&D professionals by sharing stories and tools that you can use to create workplaces and learning events that are inclusive for the diverse LGBT population. Using empathy as a foundation, and storytelling as a powerful tool for learning and connection, Jamie will help participants understand what a robust approach to Diversity and Inclusion could look like in their organization.

Jamie Good, Business Coach and Experience Designer, combines cognitive science, experience design, learning research, technology and non-directive coaching to ensure audiences stay engaged while interacting with each other and the message being shared. His unique take on business challenges and the creative solutions to solve them has sparked curiosity and 'a-ha moments' in Vancouver, Las Vegas, London, Austin, Ghent, Montreal, and Toronto among other cities across the globe.

Blaire Hervey

Listen as Blaire shares how L&D professionals can be a catalyst for change by amplifying and supporting black women’s talents and voices in the workplace.

Blaire is a badass Business x Career Coach, Culture Influencer, Image Consultant, Creator of the “2020 Ain’t Cancelled!” series, Motivational Speaker + Sales Enablement Leader at Amazon Web Services. She’s an inspirational Maverick, making her mark with start-ups + tech giants experiencing rapid growth BUT her true passion lies in innovating for women of color, helping them navigate corporate spaces, become change agents && thrive personally && professionally. Blaire also serves as The Corporate Strategist on the Visionary Squad for PDX Women of Color, on the Board of Directors of Metropolitan Family Services’ DEI committee, Junior League of Portland’s DEI Strategy committee & Racial Justice for BIPOCs special committee. She also consults for the Vancouver NAACP, crafting culturally specific messaging to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the Black community.


CANCELLATIONS: The Institute for Performance and Learning does not issue refunds for cancelled event registrations. Cancellations received in writing up to seven days prior to the event date will be issued a full credit voucher to be applied to another event within the respective calendar year. If it is a free member event ticket, it is not permitted to transfer one I4PL member's spot to a non-member. If it is a paid member event ticket and the cancellation is received less than seven days before the event, no credit voucher will be issued but the member may transfer the ticket to another I4PL member. If it is a paid non-member event ticket and the cancellation is received less than seven days before the event, no credit voucher will be issued but the non-member may transfer the ticket to a I4PL member or non-member to use. Please read the cancellation policy at: https://performanceandlearning.site-ym.com/page/I4PLCancellationPolicy
