On average, 70% of organizational change initiatives fail or do not result in sustained change. Addressing the psychology of change, the natural reactions that people have when leading or responding to change can make all the difference.

This seminar explores:

  • Why and how people deal with change in different ways
  • A logical approach for recognizing patterns of human behaviour during times of organizational change.
  • How managers and employees can leverage their strengths to increase involvement and buy-in when designing, leading and implementing change processes.

We will also discuss practical examples as to how leading psychometric assessments and diagnostic instruments can be used in your organization's leadership and cultural development initiatives.

                 Paid parking is available in the Eau Claire Market lot. The theatre can be accessed from inside the Eau Claire Market (main floor, near                       the food court) or outside (across from the Barley Mill Pub. Look for the door marked "Inside Out Theatre")

Other: Food and drinks will be provided, so please let us know via email if you have any dietary restrictions

Cost: $20 for members, $30 for non-members

This event is open to I4PL members as well as non-members. Anyone interested in learning about this topic is welcome to register.

Presenter Bio:

Presented by Psychometrics Canada Lead Psychologist, Shawn Bakker. Shawn is a registered psychologist and holds a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Alberta. He leads the professional services team at Psychometrics Canada, and specializes in the effective use of assessments of personality, ability and judgment to help people capitalize on their talents as leader, team members and individual contributors.

CANCELLATIONS: The Institutes for Performance and Learning does not issue refunds for cancelled event registrations. Cancellations received in writing up to seven days prior to the event date will be issues a full credit voucher to be applied to another event within the respective calendar year. If it is a free member event ticket, it is not permitted to transfer one I4PL member's spot to a non-member. If it is a paid member event ticker and the cancellation is received less than seven days before the event, no credit voucher will be issued but the member may transfer the ticket to another I4PL member. It is is a paid non-member event ticket and the cancellation is received less than seven days before the event, no credit voucher will be issued but the non-member may transfer the ticket to a I4PL member or non-member to use.
