THE UNTOLD TRUTH ABOUT CHANGE. As learning professionals, we want to help the organization optimize performance through enhanced learning opportunities and skill development. We believe our ideas are future forward thinking and should be embraced by all. However, our innovative concepts are not always met with the same enthusiasm and excitement from others as we had hoped. Often times, learning professionals are faced with roadblocks that attempt to stop the change from happening. The truth is our current environments demand constant change resulting in individuals experiencing change overload and change fatigue.
Many people do not understand why they must change and therefore resist being changed. They would prefer maintaining status quo over learning a new skill. So how can we gain their commitment? This interactive session will explore what really happens when people experience change, how to engage individuals to participate in the learning process, and introduce change strategies to help drive performance.
OBJECTIVES AND OUTCOMES:
Through this interactive keynote Siobhan will lead you to:
• Explore what really happens when people experience change.
• Discuss individual reactions to change, including your own and how to engage people to participate in the learning process.
• Select best practice change management strategies to apply to your learning initiatives.
